This DC Traction motor has been designed for use on the Joy 10-SC22B shuttle car and is electrically compatible and mechanically interchangeable with the existing motor on the machine.

The motor has been developed with a larger more spacious inspection window and flat cover to facilitate user friendly installation and maintenance.

The flat cover has the advantage that the flameproof paths can be more easily checked and maintained, and the rubber 'O' ring seal is more reliable and effective in preventing water ingress into the motor.

The motor be used with a number of different flameproof glands by means of suitable plug in adaptors. It has international flameproof approval to IEC 79 - 0 and 1 specifications.

A full complement of interchangeable parts including shafts, armatures cores, end-shields, commutators, brush gears, and coils can be supplied.

This motor is competitively priced and has been tried and
proved in difficult underground mining conditions.

The target market includes all coal mines using 10-SC22B
shuttle cars and rewind shops involved in the repair of
these motors.
